Sonya Anne is introduced onto the show as Gideon's assistant, she is always there when Gideon wants her and she always carries out what he wants. Sonya also has a crush on Gideon and he knows it, Gideon often plays her and if she's hiding something he knows all it takes is a bit of sweet talk to get her talking. Sonya can always bee seen holding a clipboard while at Gideon's side, she's loyal, smart, kind and a bit ditsy. She is also, as Gideon puts it, "His Lovely Assistant" when it comes to doing things like disappearing boxes or sword boxes. Sonya knows about Gideon's amulet and she also knows about the journals, when first finding out she got scared and wanted to back out but all it took was for him to say, "Now you wouldn't just leave me, now would ya Sugar Pie?" and she was dead set on it. Sonya does NOT like Mabel, which is easy too see why, but instead of being uber mean she often just turns her back to Mabel and ignores her. Dipper is another story, he sees the way Gideon toy with her and he always tries to convince her to leave him, but she always answers with, "Your wrong! Gideon DOES care for me! You don't know!"
Sonya is voiced by Tara Strong, who played Melody in The Little Mermaid 2
