Try looking at the nice wyvern rather than the painfully ugly background... *loathes the background* x.x Dieee.Uhm well yes.
If of all possible dragon forms I had to choose one for myself, I think this would be it. A plain black wyvern, or maybe a white one. Whenever I dream of flying or transforming into a dragon I use my arms as wings, so I chose a biped form. I'd fly around Berlin and look at the city from above, dive in its canyons and observe the people... and when I grow tired of it, I just spread my wings and leave. It's a nice dream. ^^
...
And if anyone knows a fool-proof tutorial for city backgrounds please let me know.

Man, your old dragon arts are amazing! This isn't a great example (though the description and the lighting made me favorite it) but they've all got a gorgeous sense of light and anatomy. I looked at your more recent stuff and there are hardly any dragon-like things at all. I think that's a very interesting change!

Yeah, I kind of lost sight of dragons when my most active web community turned out to be cat-based and when I got into tabletop roleplaying, where dragons don't feature at all, but werewolves and -cats do.

you did really well the only real problem the background has is its out of perspective and dont do much in the way of composition, id say just refference aΒ bit more in future for better angles to draw a scene from. other than that great details. well shaded and good form nwn. id say a 7 out of 10

I dunno what you mean by a painfully ugly background, the structures and lighting look great! The added blurr effect looks really nice, draws the focus on the wyvern more. I love the lighting on the wyvern's body and especially on the head

It was once a goldfish that was flushed down the toilet. A series of curious events involving toxic sewage eventually transformed it into a wyvern. It's now out to seek its former owner and take revenge!

I find this a lovely image, such a dynamic pose and great perspective, the texture of the skin looks a really believable texture.
I think the cherry on top is the slightly surreal idea of such a large wild animal in an urban setting.
Only real complaint is the wyvern looks rather bottom-heavy.

Trust me, there are LOTS of cities in the U.S. with more than that. New york is the closest major city to me. It got the third biggest population in the world with 18,000,000 people.
