Description A very strange thing occured which I never noticed before. whatever I had as my desktop background was visible in photoshop  slightly. As I was making the picture I could see an impression of the image and when I saved everything it was still there like it was part of the picture. I have kinda noticed this in the past but since the picture was made with dark colors it was way more obvious.  Any ideas on why that is happening ? It never happened all the times I made these at work and now since I don't have the time to do that as much I'm trying to do some from home but if this keeps happening I may have a breakdown. If you look close you can see it but I didn't want to start over.I tried to hide it as best I could.  Any thoughts on the matter would be welcome.Time for a drink !

what desktop background am i supposed to be seeing? everything looks fine to me...

i'm not sure what kind of equipment you have but it's always possible that your desktop burned itself into your monitor. perhaps try viewing this image again on a different device?

if there is in fact something hidden here, knowing what it is may help me to see it

Hi Gabie ! Now that I go back and look at it again a day later I did a good job of covering it up. It was a previous Journey picture showing up   I'll post the crappy version so you can see what I'm talking about. I guess in the future I'll just make my background a solid color so it doesn't interfere with what I'm doing. It's just the weirdest thing.

assuming you use photoshop (i have zero experience with it) i did a bit of googling and while i couldn't find any instance of the background actually becoming part of the working project, i did read something about the photoshop window being transparent, and depending on the artists' wallpaper it could make color selection difficult. it's for an older version of photoshop but pretty much the unanimous fix was to hit F to cycle through the various view modes. where that was not possible, the artists were advised to make their backgrounds a solid, dull gray.

no idea whether that will be of use, but thought i'd share just in case!

Thank you so much ,I think it's very useful info. My photoshop is pretty old to be honest and quite possibly there could be a bit of a burn in my screen too. I have changed my background to a solid color and it seems to have helped for the moment.  I'll check out the view modes too. Again thanks a million

You may be right about the image burn though because as I scroll up and down I can see the image of a crooked Journey bridge that doesn't move as the page moves.I only see it with darker colors on the screen for some reason. Thank you for trying to help me out BTW, you are awesome
