edit: The shading was really bugging me, so I re-did it

So, I don't usually do stuff like this, but I'm a fan of `alexiuss ' work and thought... "Oh, what the heck!"

I had to put a lot of thought into this character and his design, as I was trying to avoid a few clichés; mostly medics and the mentally insane... Not that theres anything wrong with those types of characters! I just figured there would be a lot of them, so I wanted to avoid designing something like that....

So without further adieu, here is my entry for for his RA: character design contest! [link]

Apparel: Large, yellow, puffy (marshmallow) jacket - construction worker pants (with a sh*t load of pockets) - backpack - boots - ski gloves - tool belt - white scarf - goggles - respirator - pipe wrench (weapon)

His real name is Carter, but don't call him that... Seriously. Don't.

Was a mechanic before the apocalypse, so he carries around a lot of tools--Screw drivers, screws/nails, pliers, a small hammer and his trusty pipe wrench.

A quiet guy who likes to keep to himself, Ratchet dosent say much unless spoken to. He zips his jacket all the way up when embarrassed or upset. He's a bit of a klutz and tends to trip over his untied shoelaces often.

*unrelated note* Ratchet is actually one of the many nicknames that my friends at school call me ( I have no idea why they call me this though...)
