I originally drew this just because I wanted to draw Cuba with his dreadlocks down, but... it didn't come out as well as I had hoped.*sighs*

The reasons in the fic he dislikes America is something around him cheating in a fight/baseball game, being an ass, etc.
IN REAL LIFE HOWEVER, Cuba and America have had bad relations even before the Cuban Revolution in 1959. Y'see, back during the turn of the nineteenth century, Cuba was having troubles with Spain much like America had been having trouble with England back in the 1700's. America decided to be the "Hero" and jump in, but when the war was won, he didn't step out. Cuba remained essentially under US control (through Economic puppetry, choosing the President of Cuba, etc.)until Fidel Castro took power in 1959~ Then there was the Cuban Missile Crisis, and things have never really gotten better.
Sorry, I rant about history too much.

And how we pronounce Ihqtus. Hard to say! It's spoken language what we teenagers use when we talk. :'D We Finns say things in same way we write them, like Japanese people. 'Ihq' is an variation from word 'ihana', what means 'sweet'/'lovely' etc. If you know how to read these signs, you know how to say it:

That's right. 
But I must say that I laughed a little bit, because some people in east Finland talk dialect, and they pronounce word literally like that. (I come from easter Finland, and the big Russia is quite near, omg.) XD THIS is very hard to explain too, 'cause you say alphabet's different way than us.
But yeah, 'eehana' is right. :----D My next cosplay is Denmark and after that is Cuba - I will put pics about them both in DA.
