I’m so excited that this is my first artwork of the year, YEAH!! And this is my entry for the 2017 Soul Eater Resbang, and I had the best partner ever - @makapedia !! She and her beta group were SO MUCH FUN TO WORK WITH, and Makapedia herself is just absolutely amazing. Like, words can’t describe! I’m so happy we got the opportunity to work together!!
Makapedia’s fic, titled “i’ve got a touch aversion and a stray cat that says you should shut your mouth”, is FABULOUS OK. It’s a Fruits Basket AU with a wonderful Soul Eater twist and words just CANNOT describe it. It is so beautifully written, and Maka is hilarious, and poor Soul has it bad, and KIDD JUST NEEDS A FRIEND. GO. READ. IT. IT IS A SOMA (SOUL/MAKA) FIC
In just reading the first 3 chapters, I was laughing so hard I was crying. Maka is the hero WE ALL NEED. And I’m such a HUGE Fruits Basket fan!!! It was one of my first animes, then manga, and I still own the entire DVD and managa collection and reading MP’s fic totally made me re-watch it again. I was so lucky to nab your prompt and you as a partner!
It is a SoMa fic, which is one of my absolute favorite pairings…but this scene tugged at my heartstrings so much, I couldn’t pass it up. Kidd and Maka becoming friends. HIS FIRST FRIEND. THE FEELS WERE TOO STRONG.
Aaaah anyway, thank you again to the lovely @makapedia for letting me work with you!! And a big shout out to @resbangmod for another great Resbang!!
