Whoo! The Namine wig, that was made to go with the costume. I'm so happy I'm getting more of a chance to make wigs
This will be worn (with the costume) to Sogen Con 2007 - if you're going, lemme know how it looks, k?
Anywho, a base wig of Eulora fiber, which is a high quality synthetic. The flip was originally styled in, and then I had to pull it out because it was way too much. Some chunking and cutting had to be done, too - I think it turned out quite well, myself!
And isn't the black backdrop fantastic? I loves it - much more than the white one! Everything looks so purdy in front of it

Well, unfortunately, the base wigs aren't cheap to begin with. The Namine wig would be at least $100, and the other one would be roughly $125, and I'm currently making wig commissions at the cost of the materials and supplies to make the wigs. Shipping on each wig is roughly $25, due to the size of the box, it having to be insured, and packed really carefully on a headform for shipping and storage ^_^;;
If money is a huge factor, you're best off either styling your own hair, or buying a wig yourself and practicing on it

Well, there isn't really anywhere to get them cheap, that's the problem. You can always try Halloween wigs, but they're made like crap, and usually, they won't style at all, and you'll wind up being more frustrated and throwing them out, but check like Wal-Mart or Halloween Express if you want a really cheap one.
I order my wigs from Amphigory [link] - they're good quality for the price, and style incredibly easily (i.e. they don't look like frizzy crap, and you can actually put a comb through them!)

Depends on length, and how thick the hair is - the cheapest I've used is $35, the more expensive if it needs to be longer or whatnot, the average pricing being $50 per wig... and then there are the extension wefts, or loose hair bundles, for filling out or styling...

I dont' even remember what it was, but it was a thick paste, like pomade (sp?) -- I'll check Monday when I'm back at school, becaue I should probably buy some myself...
