Ed was always my favorite of the Cowboy Bebop cast, although it wasn't simply because she was simultaneously cute and vicious. My reason was because she actually contributed to the team with her hacking skills in multiple episodes, was competent enough to take care of herself, and actually proved useful to the team. But above all else, unlike so many anime and manga out there, they made her cute WITHOUT SEXUALIZING HER. That is a rare gem in the anime world. Kudos to the creator for doing this.
As for the art, this is high quality stuff, right here. The colors are rich, almost painted in terms of texture, and the lines are spot on. We can see each shadow and wrinkle of Ed's shirt, and the curves of her collarbone and neck are carried out magnificently, and I absolutely adore her hair. It's not the usual flaming red I'm used to while still being a very light shade of red, the sort you'd see in the real world. Also, I love the detail to her eyes. Their just the right color, and they're not large and cartoonish, but realistic, not to mention calm, something that's also a treat for me. The lips and nose are what seal the deal for me. They look like something out of a portrait, absolutely beautiful.
This is simply gorgeous. You've outdone yourself, giving new life to one of my favorite heroines. I'm glad to have found this. Welcome to The List.
