I remember a F/A-18 fighter jet in a Britannica-like book for children, which describes about all means of traffic. There was a fighter jet section And I seen a F-18. Looks like that book was published in around 1990's. I was first seen the book when I was in elementary 1st grade. Since F/A-18 was introduced around early 1980's, the jet is described as a brand new model of U.S Navy.
My memory can be changed, since it was very long time ago when I seen the picture, so this one can be not exact like the jet from the book.
So I might changed the design a lot. Especially, it's armaments are totally fictional.
Machine gun position is also different. And missiles are too big and heavy.
