must ... stop ... faving you ...
*fails*

how do you manage to capture so much detail? Every photograph of you is a feast to the eyes, so much to discover everywhere, and so much athmosphere! Not to mention the colours ...
Ever considered doing a postproduction tutorial?

Lol Don't do that! I havn't really thought about doing a tutorial but I will have a think about it. For me the important thing is to get the best that is possible on camera, this reduces the amount of post work needed to get a good detailed image. A sturdy tripod to elimanate camera shake and carefull exposure control plus an eye for composition are the main requirements and the vision of the finished image allready in your mind before even releasing the shutter.

Now that sounds like a good recipe - worth a try

But do think about it - of course a lot is either self-explanatory, a question of talent or the right eye for pictures, but I'm sure there's a lot that people (me) could learn from you! I simply adore your work.

Did you ever see the film called The Stone Tapes? It was on TV years ago and purportedly revealed how all the things that happened in this particular building was forever recorded in the stone walling, and what we were shown were the re-plays of those events. Spookehh!

Love that arch. The construction is amazing. I just finished reading Pillars of the Earth and World Without End so medieval stone construction is still in my mind.

The author is Ken Follett. He usually writes mysteries but the two books I mentioned are totally different from his usual. I have come to the conclusion that they are his life work and he churns the others out to pay the bills while he's writing them. Pillars of the Earth came out in 1989 and World Without End, which is a sequel of sorts, was published last year. The focus of the works is the construction of cathedrals. The first book is set in the 13th century and the 2nd in the 15th century
