I think the secret world of arrietty is the peaceful version of attack on Titan.
Or attack on Titan is the darker version of the secret world of arrietty.

Hmmm, it is interesting putting it in that perspective.
I would say that although attack on titan is dark, arrietty is quite dark as well. Considering how human beings curiosity can get the better of us and hunt the little people down.
It would lead the little to people to go into hiding, naturally, and maybe rebel against us for their freedom in the future.
