Description

The Psiioniic turned Helmsman is the stuff of nightmares.  If the Psiioniic shares Mituna’s title of Heir of Doom, then it’s like a waterfall of one bad thing after another.  Doomed until death forced far beyond what would be expected, and it’s exceptionally sad.

The flavors of inspiration this round was brought to you by the nightmare fuel known as what the Psiioniic had to endure, getting so sick last month that I could barely function, and using art as stress relief.

Now excuse me while I go cry in a corner after having spent far too long coloring up those tentacle wires of doom.

Thank you~!    Sometimes you just have to draw something to work through the negativity that's striking.  Inspiration is still a good thing.  :3

He had also trusted the Signless to to change things, became a great friend, in turn his fate was worse than the rest and his trust destroyed.

It's just so depressing that he had to see his best buddy die in front of him and all those he trusted most get their lives ruined after the fact, only to serve the rest of his (extended) days as an instrument for what the Signless fought against.    So utterly unfair and sad!

and you have to wonder what he thought of all that while being a helmsmen, he had all too much time to think

Oh most definitely, far too much time to think over many things!  D:  Perhaps he'd take some solace in the better memories he shared with his friends to keep his sanity.  Even if by the end, he was mostly running on auto, deep down inside, there'd likely still be some remnant of himself hoping to be reunited with those he cared for the most.

All who were around the Signless had very sad lifes after his death. But the fate of this one is to me particularly bad.

I'm still thinking that all the ancestors suffered through tragedies in one way or another, but yeah, the Psiioniic had it the worst.  It's distressing to imagine what it was like to be used as an engine against his will for who knows how many years, and we don't know how much of his personality and/or thoughts of his own actually remained with him through that.  D:

I think remained a very small part.  Just the necessary amount to be forced to be used. I say "forced" because i think the Condesce wanted him to suffer.

There's so much open for personal interpretation when it comes to the ancestors, so it can really vary how sadistic or cruel the Condesce's treatment of the Psiioniic can be viewed.  I do agree that there was probably some small portion of his personality remaining even up to the end, even if by then, he'd be mostly machine in body and mind.  Recently, I read an interesting theory about how he could have been counting down to his own death, that he could have heard his own voice as part of those of the dead, which may have a final uplifting thought.  Again, interesting food for thought, but completely open for personal interpretation.
