The man in the blue hoodie is named Pat. He is a site supervisor for Con Ed. I asked what Con Ed was doing on my block and he filled me in. We wound up talking about our kids and then motorcycles. Pat told me what he rides and I showed him my bikes. Then we started talking about getting old, herniated discs, sciatica, etc. His brother had upper back pain and the docs fused some vertebrae. I said that happened to a friend of mine whom I described. Pat immediately knew who I talking about, "He used to work at..." Me: "Yeah, Lombardi's Harley." "Wore the hat." Me: "Yes..." Small island. Smaller yet if you ride. Very cool meeting another biker who is a gentleman.
