Description My half of an art trade with the amazing Astro-Wingz of their character Emerald the Gem Dragon, being all fiery. I was trying a new type of shading method here, and I think it turned out nice :3 (So sorry if I got some of the colors wrong, as getting them from a scanned drawing is kinda hard.) Anyway, he was super fun to do, and I hope you like how it turned out. ^^

Absolutely just made my night ! It's just wow...incredible ! ;_; Where to begin ?

He looks so darn cool in your style ! the green mist-like effect and the posing makes the piece pure dynamic. He looks like he's ready to unleash his special ability haha, just so astonishing. I love the spheres he's holding in his hands. ~ I also love how you got his whiskers correct. Good eye.

You're quite welcome; I've very glad to know you like it And thank you! I tried a new shading style and was trying to a more interesting pose for once. XD And I thought he'd look cool with a fiery magic mix, as I couldn't decide between the two, and didn't know what his staff looked like. Happy to know I got those right ^^

And I'm in no rush, so take as much time as you need to get to it; I know things have been rough for you.

My oh my have you outdone yourself! 

This is actually so amazing, all the detail that's gone into this makes me envious. It's gorgeous, all the shading techniques used are beautiful by the way! The small details to identify his scales, so that it doesn't just look like rubbery skin is a really nice touch. The pose you've chosen looks great with him conjuring up the fire, and OH BOY THE FYAH! It's looks all awesome and mystic smoke like rather than straight out flames, but I like it a lot
All the lighting details in this piece are wonderful and you've made mean ole Emerald here look fantastic. I know she's gonna love this when she gets online!

Brilliant work, cannot wait to see more beautiful creations like this in the future

Thank you for such a nice comment! And yeah, I was going for a magicy fire, as I couldn't decide which to do originally. XD I was also trying to make myself do a more creative pose, as I always thought my compositions were weak. Glad to know that you liked this one, as I will definitely try to do this style more will have to do something similar when I do your trade, too
