A Mixture between goat/horse, linx and a wolf.

Long, LONG story short (Im working on the story in more detail now)

He was treated like crap as a real puppy. And had his canines ripped out just out of spite. His owners abandoned him and left him to die. As he was close to death, An old, and very wise creature stumbled upon him. Ready to collect his soul, his soul was pure, and the purist the creature had seen in centuries. This creature was beginning to fade away from this world, and no longer could keep hold of himself. After a few exchange of words, a gift was given to the pup. Which transformed and mutated his body into something else. Though all that remained, was his missing canines, and his single blue puppy eye.

The creature summoned a staff for him to use. As being a creation of a creation, and not the creation of the gods. (If this is confusing. A little further details in the story show that the creature was created by gods to help guide souls and collect them. So he had a mighty power. Seeing the "creation" of the gods is creating something else, it wont be so powerful. Get it?) He had no power to himself, and had to channel the power. He was warned never to use the power to greed and horde souls for his own bidding.

His staff sits perfectly in his mouth, which allows him to cast spells and what not. Opening portals to other dimensions and collecting souls. He offers them a deal, the souls travel with him and he leads them to safety in the next life. And in return he is aloud to use their life force for his magic.

So he is usually seen wondering around with little wisps trailing not far behind him
