So, I've been wasting a lot of time lately playing Minecraft [link]You can search youtube for some detailed introductions if you don't know it already.
This is just a montage of screenshots of some of the wonders (both "natural" and made by me) found in my minecraft world.

Did you build the lava fountain? It looks awesome...
I've read lava fountains were sometimes used against monsters but I don't really see how - is it what this one is for?

No, this was purely an aesthetic exercise. Frankly I usually play the game with the monsters turned off, just because I prefer building stuff.

I've never played Sims, so I'm not sure. The idea is you get plopped down in a randomly generated world. You collect resources (wood, stone, etc) to fashion tools and structures. You can dig down deep into the earth to get more rare materials.
Depending on how you set the game, there are monsters. They only come out in darkness (night, or deep underground) so you have to ready weapons.
There are multiplayer versions where you can interact with others online, but I haven't tried that myself yet.

I've never played Sims. Mom hasn't either. I think Dad's played a little, but I'm not sure.
