Gypsy Vanner horses are such beautiful animals. It's a shame not many people know about them.Featured here is a Gypsy type unicorn in a collection of tapestries and blankets. The majority of my time was spent on the detail work. I am a huge fan of color,but there really wasn't any rhyme or reason to the shades. My one regret was making the background too close in color to the horse's paint pattern color. I like to use blue-ish colors to shade black but this time the night-time scene blended too much.

Aww. I <3 it Dia! ^__^ I love Riel's colors, but I don't know what to do to make her look all spiffy T.T yar. Plus I can't draw horses! lol. I miss ya, and I love ya. This picture is wonderful, and it /does/ look a little like Gio, but not extremely so. XD

This is really fantastic - it must have taken you hours! The quality of the different kinds of fabric and the textures are absolutely stunning. The way that the light from the lantern is cast across the picture is really beautiful. An absolute masterpiece - I love it.

I can believe the detail you put into the cloth, the patterns and the folds! Oh and what do I spot on her forehead, a little red jewel....hmmmm does she have any relation to a white stallion whose name begins with G

cleaning it took roughly 3 hours, coloring took 6 hours but both of thoses times are with leisured breaks xD

It's beautiful! I love Gypsy Vanners myself. A friend of mine used to own a stable full of 'em. I miss seeing them and the foals they had every year.
