Description We get snow maybe every 4 0r 5 years here. I live southeast of Atlanta GA so it's just starting to snow here so gave the birds extra seed since it's supposed to continue snowing till about midnight. Hopefully since it's below freezing it will make for much better snow pics. If you look at the background tree on the left you can see its snowing here

Thanks Phill. We only see snow maybe every 4 or 5 years. This time the ice is the real problem for anyone in Georgia. Some people have been stranded on the highway in their cars for more than 18 hours including children on school buses trying to bring them home after school let out early.

Awww! I'm so glad you get to enjoy some snow too! Would you like all of mine? I am about sick of it actually. Β Trapped inside because it's a windchill of -35 and the kids have been home from school for 4 days in a row! I'm going to a) lock myself in a room with only my computer b) fly to ArizonaΒ 

looks like a) is the winner seeing how if I leave, who is gonna do the laundry and dishes? No ONE! I'm a whiner….I know!

It's now 2am here and many kids are still stuck in schools here! Only about 3 inches of snow but the real problem is the temp has dropped way below freezing so the roads are a sheet of ice now and will be till about noon Thursday.

it was -17 windchill this morning but 14 right now, they better go back tomorrow!

This is really putting a damper on my photography! Both the kids and the cold weather. Β 

My camera freezes up and won't focus as fast as I would like when it is in the single digits outside.

Atlanta has been a total parking lot since Tuesday night. Not so much the snow but the ice is the really problem here. My camera gives me the same difficulties as yours in very cold weather.

Well, i'm south of Detroit and this is the worst I have seen since I was a child. Β I think snow and cold should come around for about 4 weeks, then scoot on its way and let spring start her dance! stay warm my friend.
