Hello again all; did you have a good 4th of July or Canada Day?
Ack this page is so old. I made the first 8 pages back in like... January? I made a lot of mistakes, and it's hard to look at them again, but whatever! They were stepping stones to improvement! As I mentioned on the Cover page for this chapter; this comic is an excuse for me to practice and improve.
Also, I'm sorry to everyone who likes the very begining of G/S/C and HGSS. The very begining of any given pokemon game is usually the most boring for me to read in a nuzlocke, so I decided to rearrange and skip a lot as you can already see. Also, I didn't feel like making anyone wait to see the starter.
Update: I used an older version of this page on accident. Updated to a newer one that gives off a stronger impression of the sun setting.

It begins!
Quick critique: The very top panel has a slightly odd perspective - I wasn't sure if it was a side view of the beach or a bird's eye view from overhead. For me, part of it has to do with the vertical dunsparse - it looks like it's sitting atop a cliff/overhang that's looking down on the beach. The flat beach blankets also add to this perspective oddity.

Thank you for your critique. Now that you mention it I can see how the rock with dunsparce could be confusing; I think if I had shaded the rock itself better I could have avoided that. I'll keep that in mind for similar shots in the future!

Fun fact: this is a place in the early games; just a part of it that I don't see utilized in many Johto nuzlockes. I'm trying to strike that balance of keeping it fresh but not changing too much.
