                                                Chapter 1 part 1
     I was in the car with a few of my friends.  Where were we going? You don't know? Band Camp of course.  Well, we talked and teased as we pulled into the school.   Cars parked here and there near the band hall.  I hopped out of the car.  It was my first time at band camp.  I didn't think it would be to hard.  I'm not as you would say, athletic.

     I got out of the car with my friends Macy, Maria, Kennedy, and Tyler.  Poor Tyler. He was the only guy on the whole car ride.  He needed a ride and his cousin Macy said he could come with us.  I had a crush on him so I didn't mind the idea.  He was the first out of the car.

    As we walked to the band hall, the band director came out and greeted us.  He stood at six feet probably and had soft brown hair. Very handsome.  He was new here.  The old one quit.  His name was Charlie Bryan.  We called him Mr. Charlie.  This was his first real job and he was nervous of course.  The way Macy looked at him, I knew who she had a crush on the new band director.  We asked how old he was and he replied twenty-four.  The look on Macy's face struck with excitement.

   I went into the band hall and found a melophone to play for the rest of band season.  I grabbed my rag to wipe it and shine.  I looked out of the corner of my eye and saw Tyler doing the same.  We were the only ones that ever did.  It made me feel closer, but soon stopped when Macy came and interupted my thoughts, "Did you see him!?"  she exclaimed quietly. "Yeah." I smiled. "So you like him?"  i asked curiously.  " I never said that...but yes." she said wild with excitement.  "Isn't he a little to old?"  I asked quietly.  "You shouldn't be talking. Tyler's seventeen!" I put my hand up to her mouth. "Shh!!" I looked around to see if anyone heard. "Sorry." she said more quietly this time.  "It's fine just be careful." I sighed.
