Eurasian blue tit is a small passerine bird from Paridae family (tits, chickadees, and titmice), native to Europe, not to be confused with african blue tit (cyanistes teneriffae), which is mostly found in Northern Africa, Pantelleria and the Canary Islands. They are usually 12 cm (4.7 in), long with a wingspan of 18 cm (7.1 in) for both sexes. These tits are usualy resident, non-migratory birds. In the winter, they often can be seen with great tits, forming mixed flocks. As for most other tits, their diet consists mainly of insects.
