Life is a wild ride so we might as well crack open a bottle of age appropriate bubbly and enjoy it! Lucien sees things in the best possible way he can as, doing what he can to make others feel the same, hence being one the reason he chose to suffer through many soul crushing years of med school over theatre.

A Kalos man at heart (Anistar City), Lucien was born the eldest son to a rather finically comfortable family. Being The eldest in a family where your parents are usually off making that coin meant the job of caring for his younger siblings fell to him, which was something he took pride in and loved... Despite the occasional wild pokemon being released inside the home.
Under the pressure of the expectations of his parents, Lucien had to put aside his aspirations because the only person who seemed to support them were his younger sibling. In order to gain some sort control in his life, he chose to go down a medical route and combine his knack for academics and passion for caring for others. This idea pleased his parents and got them off of his back until it was time to choose his schools.
To his horror, his parents managed to push and guilt him into applying and accepting a prestigious school in Unova, taking him thousands of miles away from the siblings he loved and cared for his whole life.
Unable to stand up to his parents, he parted with his brothers and sisters only to dedicate years to his studies. Feeling stranded away from his family entirely as his parents never seemed to attempt to bring him home for any amount of time during his schooling and his only contact was through video calls and eventually those seemed to fade away, even the brother he thought he was closest to dropped contact with him completely. Despite this, Lucien kept his hopes up and pushed through with his head held high, hoping to reconnect back home in his beloved Kalos.
Ultimately it took a year of working in Unova to afford his boat fare and some savings to hold him over until he had a new job. Excited that he was finally going home, you'd think the man would make actually sure he was at the dock on time! Well... He was not.
Some where between eating breakfast, petting someone's skitty, missing his early train to Castelia, stress eating some candy out of the station's vending machine, petting some one's snivy AND failing to getting a cab to notice him, Lucien was left on the docks without a ride.
It's fine though right? Who caaares if that ticket cost a lot of money? When there's a will there's a way!
Lucien quickly put himself back together and asked a nearby (Shady) crew if they were sailing where he was going and to his surprise, they sure were!
They sure were going some where but it sure wasn't Kalos! Spending what felt like weeks on that boat, a sinking feeling cut through his usual cheerful demeanor as the crew decided land on some weird looking island dock and figured it was as good as any time to drop their guest off at his destination, without his luggage and wallet of course.
Lucien watched as his possessions, money and what jewellery he didn't have in his coat sailed away.
well... At least island smells better than the boat?
As you can tell, Lucy has some pretty bad luck.
The only experience he has with pokemon is getting the wild ones back outside.
His preferred choice of work was the theatrical arts.
He's a sucker for cute and or pink things.
