Third part of a set of 'epic' pictures being made to showcase the abilities of the Gods and Goddesses of Termina. This picture in particular is not so much 'epic' as 'emotive', but it still serves its purpose.

Here we have Asden... God of death, father of Seiryu of Hyrule, and brother to Majora and Raenke .

Ah the beckoning call of death... try though you might to avert your gaze, to pretend he isn't there... he's always watching... always waiting... you fear him... loathe him... and yet he waits patiently for your acceptance. And by then? Everything as you once knew it comes to an end.

I've had Asden in my head for years, but I never really drew him out on paper... he's undergone some design changes. The horns on his head and the marks on his face, namely... meant to show a relation to his siblings. And his missing eye... to tie him to his estranged son. He is rather well-known (famous and infamous) in the land of Ikana, and is worshipped by the Garo.

It is often said that things like love and justice are blind... but death is at least half-blind, as we can see in the variety of victims that succumb to his beckoning call... some without even the slightest warning.

When I first saw him, I though of Vaati.

I am impressed by your deities. Everyone has a character, a story, symbols ... I feel like meeting the greek gods all over again, only this time those deities are far more ... awesome x3

Really? Well, Vaati's one of my favorite game bosses, though admittedly, I don't know if I've ever drawn him yet. Either way, I am pleased by the thought.

Thank you very much! ^^ I've been working on these deities for many, many years and so hearing that people like them brings joy to my heart and makes my hard work feel validated. There will always be things that need perfecting and polishing, but at least I know I'm making steps in the right direction. ^^ Thank you so very much.

Hehehe... the greek gods... I admit I was obsessed with the greek gods ever since I was really really little Maybe they influenced me in more ways than I originally thought?

You're definitely making steps in the right direction.

I must admit, I haven't read all of the describtions, yet, but I'll be sure to do that as soon as I finally find the time.

Keep up the good work
