Eighth picture of the hopefully 'epic' set of images for the deities of Hyrule, showcasing their abilities. This one is more emotive than 'epic', but still.

Here we have Mati, Goddess of Life and mother to the many Gods and Goddesses of Hyrule.

Mati's life met an unfortunate end due to a curse cast upon her by Asden , the God of Death, who in a fit of madness attacked her. The attack was predicted many centuries beforehand by Mati's sister Verthandi , but Mati faced it bravely head-on, knowing fully well the results, feeling that her death would bring about better results than if she avoided the 'fate' that was dealt to her.

And so, with the birth of Mati's son Seiryu , sired by none other than Asden himself, Mati's life was cut short by the curse placed upon her, that her life would be bound by the cord connecting her to her child.

I don't know who may or may not have noticed, but there are certain elements of Mati's image that are seen throughout the mortal realm, showing that even in death, the Goddess of Life's touch and warmth has spread into the world of her childrens' creation and the world created by the children of her sister Verthandi.
