And as you stare at the forest, you see the babbling brook. A serenity fills you, and you can only describe it with one word: Home. As you gaze into the waters, you see a mist swirling within the water, and you aren't sure how it's possible, but you know that's how it should be. Then you look up at the trees, and you see a golden blue-green power fluxating within the leafy branchs, and you know that this, is your Teacher. You stare at the Teacher with a loving respect, neither one of you ever speaking a word. As it fluxates, it's shape morphs and changes, sending out a pulsating energy. This energy is so warm and comforting, your non-existant 'body' relaxes. As you Listen to your Teacher, Knowledge becomes unto you, and you Know that this is how things go.

This is a *very* special piece for me. This is just a digital re-creation of something Within myself. This is something very real to me. For you see, I walk down the path that is of the Druid. Infact, if one were to go to [link] one would see that that particular... 'perception.. of druidry makes me as a Ovate. Now, I don't agree with that site's stuff, mainly because it makes it seem.. so impersonal. And one does not simply go to a community college, get 'training', and then it suddenly hits you "Oh, I'm a druid now! Yay!". I don't agree with that. But they've got a good bit that I do agree with. Anyhow, this is where I go for my Lessons. My Teacher lets me know that it wants me to Learn something, and I focus myself into this, area you see in this picture. Then as I Learn things, they're in my subconcious. When I leave the area, I talk about it with my Guide.

I'm actually kind of proud how this turned out.. Sat down with a little Muse bitting my ear, no previous ideas for this, no sketch to color in, just a blank photoshop 'paper' and a mouse.. And I came out with trees, and a river, and a hill.. Granted, the trees aren't terribly 'realistic', but I'm very proud of how they came out. The color job I think is one of my best. I feel very good about this piece, and it feels very alive to me. The only other piece I've felt *this* good about, was a soft of self-portrait painting I did with tempura paints two years ago. Lemme tell ya, those aren't easy to use. Nooooo. Very thick. ^_^ And I derailed, didn't I? Ah well..
