Dante. Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite.For the first time I made color correction in Blender. I know I know, it's weird since I've been using this program for a long time, but I usually process pictures in Photoshop. But for this picture I decided to try compositing in Blender. Well... The first pancake is always spoiled. And all that's because in Blender's settings it looked like this , and on rendering it didn't look like this. I don't know why it's so. I had to re-render several times to get the version similar to the one that is needed.
Я впервые сделала цветокоррекцию в Блендере. Знаю знаю, это странно т.к. я уже давно использую эту программу, но я обычно обрабатываю картинки в Фотошопе. Но для этой картинки решила попробовать использовать композитинг в Блендере. Ну что ж… Первый блин комом. А всё потому, что в настройках Блендера это выглядело так , а на рендеринге совсем не так. Почему так я не знаю. Мне пришлось несколько раз перерендеривать, чтоб получить вариант примерно похожий на тот, который нужен.

Щикарный рендер хоть нащ Белобрысик выглядит лучше чем в игре , а то явно видно не 1 уколом обошлось в MvsCI

If nothing else I suppose on the bright side, Dante returning in Marvel vs Capcom Infinite means more excellent fanart such as this very one. It seems that Capcom wanted to make some sort of hybrid between the original one and the wuboot which could explain why the model used in MVCI looks so terrible.

If it is true then why won't Capcom move on and understand that more of their customers want to see the original Devil May Cry series being continued and the reboot forgotten about. In any business you want to appeal to the ones who will support you more.

If that is true then they are far dumber than I thought. Right now thought they are on a roll with the announcement of Mega Man 11. Let's hope that they are learning from their mistakes.

I do't know if Capcom makes a new part of the game or not, but it feels like they don't want to make continue as they gave agree that some chinese company is making a new game "Devil may cry: Pinnacle of combat". Only it is for smartphones & judging by the screenshots it feels like it's dmc3.

I would really be heart broken if the rumored new Devil May Cry title that was being talked about all across the internet was in fact that specific mobile game you are bringing to my attention. It's something I guess. It would appear that it is not the first time the series has gone mobile with something called Refrain. So it would be on par for the course. All I can say is that it better not have micro transactions.

I think it looks a bit wonky just because they seemed to have based his MvsC model off of his older DMC 4 model, which has a much stronger jawline, deeper set eyes, and overall stronger features than his soft-featured DMC 3 model. Which, makes sense logically that you don't just develop vastly different facial features from when you were 19(practically physically grown by then) to your 30's, but we are used to associating his younger model with softer features regardless. Though I do agree that when I first saw the MvsC Dante model my immediate thought was that it was fanart of the DmC reboot alternate skin, due to the more advanced detail like that of the reboot's(simply because it's much newer than the other games) and because it did not immediately appear to be the facial features of the DMC 3 model, which it is clearly sorta replicating.
Honestly idgf what he looks like at this point, just please preserve his personality, that what we all really love about him...

I don't believe they are trying to appeal to both. They tried that with the definitive edition for the reboot and it didn't work. At this point they're probably backpedaling as much as possible and before you know it they'll be pretending the reboot never happened(like with dmc2). Let us not forget that reboot Dante replaced original Dante in MvsC for a while back when the reboot was released(despite original Dante being the Dante they were going to use at first), until Capcom saw how horrible of a disaster that was and gave the position back to original Dante for MvsC infinite.

That DLC costume Dante gets says otherwise. But I also learned that it was Capcom's response to Ruben doing a motion capture of DINO. IF the rumor of a possible DMC5 announcement is to be believed then yeah it will be the nail in the coffin to this whole debate.

That's what I was referring to. The reboot tanked in numbers(or at least last I read they did - I wasn't able to get exact numbers when I just looked), so Capcom took another look at the series. In my opinion, they did a test. They released DmC: Definitive Edition with the DLC costumes of the original Dante and such, as well as DMC 4 Special Edition with DLC costumes of reboot Dante. They made physical copies of DmC: Definitive Edition but DMC 4 special edition was only available in physical copy in Japan. They never released numbers of either, but they commented that DMC 4 Special Edition did well, but no comment on DmC: Definitive Edition. If this is true and anybody left in Capcom still has some brain cells left, this would indicate exactly what the fans had been saying all along - we want the REAL Dante. So then Capcom changed back to featuring original Dante in MvsC Infinite and they're rereleasing the DMC HD Collection for Xboxone and PS4 soon. No word on the reboot though. All these remasters and such could just be a quick cash grab, but they'd have to be blind to not see that fans want the original series to continue and that they'd get good money off of doing an acceptable DMC 5.
I've heard nothing about Reuben doing motion capture of him, by the way, and I follow a lot of his social media and have listened to a lot of his podcast interviews. He doesn't like the reboot either so I don't see why he'd do any motion capture with it. Where did you hear this from?

Sept. 2017 DMC Updates Interview And Responses
DanteVergilLoverAR's response to a discussion we were having in her Devil May Cry group RedDevilsChronicles . "He stated that it's most likely payback for when he did the mo-cap of reboot Dante in Playstation All Stars."
I meant to say he did motion capture for Playstation All Stars.
And now the DMC HD collection is going to be ported over to PS4,Xbox One, and PC.

Ah, I see. Thank you for the info! I try to keep as up-to-date as possible with DMC and Reuben but I still manage to miss things. I suppose I can't really comment much more on what MvsC Infinite means for the original franchise. I don't own the game and haven't seen any gameplay of it - I assumed that since he looked similar to his original design that they would stick to his original personality. In all honesty I have not even looked up images of what he looks like in game until just now when it occurred to me that this artist's rendition of Dante might be different from how he looks in MvsC, I figured this artist simply stuck him into a pose and used the model from MvsC. I kind of wish I hadn't looked up what he actually looks like in game because now I am quite horrified, he looks absolutely dreadful!
On a side note - if they do replace Reuben as his voice actor, I will not be continuing with the series. No Reuben, no Dante. You can't take away a voice actor who's voiced him for the past 12 years, is heavily invested in the character, and KNOWS how he is supposed to be portrayed. I don't care if Dante had other voice actors in 1 and 2, their voice acting was lackluster and easily forgettable.

Да не говори, Блендер любитель пакостить. Всё настроила, всё хорошо, долго рендерилось и бац - хрень получилась. От злости чуть вообще не удалила все файлы. Но решила попробовать переделать. И в итоге Данте тут такой лапочка получился. Я думала мне одной показалось, что он тут лучше выглядит чем в оригинале, но судя по комментам тут он всем больше нравится. Знаешь, картинка конечно выглядит прикольно, но какой-то странный фон получился. В лесу вместо земли какая-то отражающая поверхность. Хах. Не знаю почему мне такое захотелось сделать.

Изначально там была дорога. Что-то типа как след от машин в лесу. Но мне упорно хотелось сделать отражающую поверхность. В итоге получилось это. Когда у меня чё-то страное получается у меня уже привычка называть это "Творческие заскоки". Хах.

Я ещё не играла в эту игру, так что по поведению и характеру ничего сказать не могу. А вот по внешности да. Как я тебе уже и говорила, то тут какая-то смесь оригинального Данте с новым. И что-то такое вот непонятное получилось в итоге.
