I don't know what the "anxiety thing" is, but at least knowing the nature of it, it's not that easy to just stop doing it. I think that whether they saw anxiety disorder as an illness or not, they still couldn't make a very big argument on it. People don't simply "turn off" angry when someone steals their wallet. (Sorry for the rant there) I feel it was mean for them to say that, but I don't think they were trying to be. It sounds like they don't understand entirely what anxiety disorder is. Even if they do, maybe they just felt bad watching it and didn't know how to help?

I understand how that is. It's really odd how people feel the need to compare their life to yours,
like it's some kind of game in which whoever appears to have it worse wins.
Everyone deals with experiences differently and it's really not fair to undermine someone
just because "I've dealt with the same thing, and it didn't hurt me, therefore it shouldn't hurt you" sort of thing....
I really hope you can find some way to get them to understand! Or in the very least stop making you feel guilty for it...
I'm sorry this is happening to you ; - ;
And yeah no problem!
