Ever thought about using animated PNG instead for any such animations?
Because, you know, the 256-color limit of GIF isn't exactly ideal...
(just keep in mind that any of DA automatically-generated thumbnails strip out the animation from APNGs; this issue also applies to the reduced-sized image for works larger than 900px in general, but that shouldn't be an issue for your animations since they're not exactly uber high-res anyway)

I never heard of animated PNG before...
I made it in the most cheapest way possible: with a drawing program, and an online gif maker.
I think it is fine for a first attempt.

Yeah...even though animated PNG is over 10 years old, it didn't get widespread browser support until a year or so ago.
...at which point everybody and their dog already associated the term "GIF" with animation and have been using actual video files (WebM, MP4, etc) for anything higher-quality.
Nevertheless, APNGs can be assembled using an online APNG maker as well - I know that ezgif has one: ezgif.com/apng-maker
