Such an interesting perspective, with only a select part of the plant is in focus, which just adds to the interest of the piece. I love the vivid blue of the sky (yes, finally some blue sky for you!) This is quite an interesting shot, really effective, with gorgeous colour.

I wondered what you were doing, keeping the Day project going again, I think it's a good decision, but I can understand why you wanted to stop it after your long, cold, freezing, dreary winter. Anyone would be out of inspiration with that going on around you.. here's to brighter days

So glad to hear it's back! And a really lovely shot to bring it back on track with too - a great depth of field and the colours are so distinctive of spring, and it fills me with hope that maybe the weather will improve here too, so i can make the most of living in such a beautiful country side

I love the colors and everything. I am just beginning photography so don't expect me to be great in the critique but here goes...

Critique:

I love the colors. Especially the yellow-green with the bright blue which gives the much needed depth in the pic. But too much of the subject is out of focus... Maybe like HT pointed out, keeping the whole subject out of focus might have been awesome... For me though, centering the subject some more looks like it could do the trick...

I haven't checked out your other pics... But I like this though...

Yea i did notice that your work was becoming more mediocre as the 365 project continued on its course...most of it was still quite good though with a few amazing shots ...but we all have our bad days and good days eh? even the pro's ....

Critique on this work: Well recently i have started studying photography so i know a bit more about in now haha... well heres my thoughts ....The colours in this photo are amazing ,the green and vivid blue complement each other brilliantly ,really makes for a cool effect ,but i think the focal point is abit off ,and i think that having a wider focal point or having the whole subject out of focus would have made for a more impressive shot ... If you dont mind me saying ,i could have easily taken this shot and im a complete Beginner ... Your other works are so much better than this

By the way what lens and settings do you use ,i've been trying to get very vivid photos but most just come out in subdued colours ... O.o its sad to say the least

I know how you feel. I started my 365 in winter and my pictures suffered for it. Hopefully spring will be lots better
