Expertise: Having studied to become a Doctor, he is well-versed in the Medical area, thus making it his expertise. While he does have some offense, his strength greatly lies in defense, and he'll often protect or heal those in battle, while staying well away from the frontline.

Personality:

Carefreel, laid-back, and generally easy-going. Likes to have fun and can be pretty childish at times. Is pretty much a ball of energy so he tends to walk around a lot or does a lot of training to calm himself down. Also very talkative, and can come off as really dorky or goofy. Acts like he's clueless and naive, but is actually pretty sly and smart. Likes playing pranks on people.

Does a lot of crazy things for the adrenaline rush as he's something of an adrenaline junkie. Strangely, however, he's a scaredy cat when it comes to anything trying to attack him. (since he can't control those, whereas if it's him just pulling a dangerous stunt, he has full control of his own actions). Also a coward where bugs/insects are concerned. He tries to act strong and courageous about it, but that facade disappears pretty quickly because he just can't stand them.

History:

Born in Eivindr to a high class family, Niko was expected to behave in a gentlemanly, sophisticated manner befitting of someone of his social standing. At first, he tried to blend in with the crowd, taking many lessons, dressing in luxurious items of clothing, even studying to become a Doctor, but ultimately, he knew he didn't belong there. He'd always been one for adventure and exploration, and he hated the distinct class divisions as he wasn't allowed to venture further down the spire, simply because 'commoners' lived down there. He didn't understand why they were looked down upon, if only for their low class status. Afterall, you couldn't choose which family you were born into, so he found it incredibly unfair. He felt uncomfortable and stifled around all the high class citizens, and despite his parents refusing to take him further down and into the cavern towns, he decided to go there anyway, simply without their knowledge.

It was there that he found a whole new world (/cue the Disney song playing in the background), it seemed, but he rather liked it. Ironically, despite the air being more polluted down there, he felt more stifled up in high class territory. He felt like he could really breathe there. After his first visit, he planned to make many more, and eventually, practically became a regular there, visiting during all of his breaks between lessons, becoming one with the community. It was down in the cavern towns that he came to appreciate and have a great passion for dancing and music, as the upper class entertainment was too...stiff and strict. Cavern town music and dance were more free and expressive, which suited him best.

It was also in the Cavern town where he first heard stories of the Quasers, and of their technology and goals. Equality, they aimed for. Equality and unity. To him, those two words spoke a great deal, and he vowed that, should he be given a chance to join them, he'd someday be able to rid Eivindr of the social barriers, making it a happier and more open-minded place to live in. And so, he applied, hoping that he'd be accepted, not only so he could work towards achieving his own goal, but to get away from the stifling atmosphere of his family and the upper class.

Eventually, he was found out by one of the maids who'd noticed his constant disappearances and had followed him down to the Cavern towns, before quickly reporting it to his parents. There was strong disapproval and strict punishment was ensured. By this time, however, he'd already been accepted and was on his way to Polaris, and officially became a part of the Quaser faction.

Skill: Obice Aeris
Creates a barrier of air around his opponent that slowly compresses them, eventually crushing them from the pressure. Can target multiple opponents, but the more opponents there are, the weaker the barrier and the longer for it to compress and crush them. Often uses this skill in defense, however, to either hold back an opponent, or immobilise them for a short period of time. If he's attacked by another while performing this, the barrier slowly drops.

Skill: Vita Excolatur
Heals the wounds of an individual to an extent. The deeper the wound, the slower the rate of healing. Cannot heal fatal wounds. Can only perform this on one person at a time, and cannot heal broken bones, infections, or ailments other than fatigue.

Special: Ad Vitam
A healing skill that is able to moderately heal wounds of anyone within a 10-meter radius of him. It can mend broken bones and heal second-degree burns, but cannot rejoin incapacitated limbs as the skill is unable to reconnect nerves. This skill drains all of his energy, however, and he will collapse afterwards due to exhaustion. The amount of time spent still succumbed to exhaustion depends on the severity of wounds healed. If only minor wounds are healed, then one whole day is needed to recover. If the wounds are more severe, such as broken bones or second-degree burns, then it will take up to two days to recover. During this time, he is also unable to use any magic.
