I hate you scanner, I miss my computer with all it's nifty art cleaning abilities. ;n;Jamie Hewlett and Damon Albarn in a very, very bad attempt at drawing them in Jamie's art style.
If you don't know who they are, they created the animated band "Gorillaz" and the recent Chinese Opera "Monkey:Journey to the West". Damon was also very popular in Europe as the lead singer of the pop band, "Blur". Before Gorillaz Jamie was best known for his comic book work, particularly his creation of "Tank Girl".
Why did I draw this?
Well... obviously I'm a fan, but also they just seem like really awesome friends. At first they kind of baffled me. It felt like Damon was this sort of bleeding heart, sweet guy wanting to end war and violence in the world, and Jamie was ready to get drunk and beat up someone [Justin Timberlake LOL]. But the more I saw of them the more I realized how much they have in common. I don't think either would think twice about defending themselves in a fight, but both really want to make a difference and help others. I love that they both try to inspire creativity in others and encourage people to do what they want. And I share their hatred for manufactured music and bands.

Jamie is practically my new hero; his drawings are incredible. The way he animates your favourite character is always incredible, especially when he sits down back in his 'Geep' in '19-2000', hunches his shoulders and clutches his head in 'The Eel', or draws back from the telescope in shock in 'On Melancholy Hill'. But his artwork of ALL the characters is simply incredible.

This is fantastic! Not only do I think it's cute how their shadows are Muds and 2D, but I really think you did Jamie's style justice. VERY excellently done! <3

Aww thanks, I didn't know if it looked exactly like his style or not-- always seems like when I attempt to draw his style it comes out as a mixture of his and mine.

In your scanner menu thingy, try customizing the scanner preferences in there. Should work.

can't get to it at the moment, I was using my dad's computer to scan with. I'll see about that later. What do I do when I mess with prefrences?

Usually you go to 'Custom Scan' I believe, then hit preview & if you like what you see, then okay it & you should be all set.
At least it works on mine.
