Deidara speedpaint "art is a blast!"QwQ i got so board writing my paper on fast food, so i made this during my mental health brakes. >-<
^^ i really love watching the naruto series and he and sasori are 2 of my fav characters

(oh and his arm was ripped off so thats why its missing XD yay gaara! )
i do not own deidara or naruto.

ive been drawing girls alot so he looks more like one then nessary.
ill tell you what i told the critiquer before.
ill conciter backrounds in the future (cuz people hurrass me about them all the time ) (but it will mean....maybe one drawing a month if that, cuz i dis like them so much (and also not a lot of people even notice the backrounds when i put them in though i spend hours on them.).
if you noticed my speed paints thuss far all have white backrounds,and being speed paints i put minimal effort on such things like line art and backrounds.
you would think that, but there wasent that much blood in the anime. and practically non existant after the battle with gaara. (i would also like to assume he washes his cloths) also, deidara was arm less for a long time , this pic dosent dipict it happening in the now.
i put the arm out there so you could see the mouth (and to practice forshortning)
deidara is creepy, in a hot kind of way. =w=

Ah, anime logic, it allows for anything to happen and it lets the people say "fuck all!"
...yeah, us psychopaths have to stick together, especially when we're two crazy guys because then we get each other, but when a girl is creepy or crazy we might just get scared.

Anyway.
Firstly, I love how you did his hair XD Although the way it was done around his face makes him almost seem more like a woman than he already does. I love the shading on it though, I really do.
The sketchiness of the image just adds to it, I think. Especially with the fact that it's shaded so bloody well.
I think you could have possibly added some blood to his cloak, or something, since his arm is, quite obviously, gone. There would have been blood, and since his sleeve is torn, I think it would be easy to believe that he was wearing it when it happened. It would have just added more realism, I guess, to the pic is all.
The main complaint I have for this pic, would be the background. It's so.... bland. Even just doing a gradient for instance, probably would have given it more life.

he's so girlie though! Ah, yeah I draw hair to frame the face like that. But I think the general pop will get he's a dude. Thanks.
The sketchy -nuss is evidence of a speed paint for me. I've been running a series of them. It's so the colors and shading stand out more unrestricted by harsh lines.
The odd thing about that, in the manga there wasn't any blood residue when gaara ripped of his arm or when kakashi took his other one. And it's an after the fact sort of thing, I would hope they wash their cloths...but I digress.
*sigh* every one always wants a backround...I did a pic recentally with a but I don't think people really liked it=^= if more people liked it I'd make them more, but for me it's not worth the extra 9 hours to make it.
It would have had a standered black backround, but I put in that bit at the bottom and his name in gradients, I thought it was better then nothing at all buti guess not.

And I know you do, it's part of the reason why I love your art. I love how you do the hair. Kist everyone needs to step out of their comfort zone every so often, perhaps you should try changing up the bangs or something small like that, every so often?

I don't watch Naruto, or read it. I don't care of it, since I think it's a series that needs to die DX It's too... just... it's lacking in originality now DX
And I'm not saying you have to do a background really, even just a gradient, to make it look less flat, would have been better. Or putting the cloudiness up a bit, so that it was more behind his back, than his legs is all.

I wasn't sure where it was going. Ended up more of a critique than I expected it to be, that's all.
And fair enough about the hair.
But really, you do need to break out of your comfort zone at times. It's the only way to grow as an artist of any sort.
And you don't need to do backgrounds everytime or whatever. I'm just saying it might be beneficial to do 'em sometimes.
Or just make it, as I said, a gradient background instead of a solid colour.
And good, defend it!
