The dog pokemon. Arcanine are fiercely loyal to their trainers if treated well, and are known for being both friendly and protective. In the wild, they travel in packs and are difficult to catch in their adult forms /because/ of this tendency to travel together for protection. They tend to live around volcanoes or other heat sources and females will always seek out volcanic areas when pregnant so that their children will be able to get energy from the geothermic energy. Then, the pack will gather to defend the pups. However, if you /can/ catch a pup, they make excellent pets for beginning trainers and children. Both adults and children can survive and are sometimes seen frolicking in bursts of lava.
