Description I just got the Mission Hill DVD and had a marathon- I really wish that it had run for more then a single season. That seems to happen to such good shows all the time. Some things just seem to take forever to find an audience, but since it's rebirth on Adult Swim, it seems that the audience has emerged.

I even like the time period in which it is set- I love Ron's pager, and the way that Kevin actually uses his big beige PC's dial-up connection to do research. It makes me remember the first apartment I ever had when I lived in the midst of my friends- in fact, my next-door neighbor became my best friend. I miss that apartment living. I love their apartment's design, the way that you can tell it used to be a warehouse or factory of some kind that was converted. In a less hipster city, that place would run into the thousands every month.

The characters are closer to real people then most cartoons, but they may have altered as the show went on- I have to wonder what would have happened if it had been able to keep going. The DVD had some great extras, like an episode that was never aired, where Gwen & Andy finally wind up together. And the structure of the show where Andy was supposed to change jobs every 8 hours.

We need more good TV.
