Dig-out-pic No. 3. Geez! This one's pretty old...
I did this one in 2004. Barely believe how bad I was, considering the style I use today.
Zero is watching the clouds. I dunno why but he seems to like places on roofs where he can watch the sky. He did this in the games and in the manga alike.

Zero is a man that looks and wonders about the future...he looks to the sky to wonder how he can benefit the world and if he should remain alive for he blames himself at times when the virus appears he fears for x's life. He hopes that someday x can realize the dream of peace and he himself does not have to fight anymore battles and enjoy that peace with x. You have captured such a thing and i bow before you magnificent work...great job!
