Yes, that does mean this is a photo.
My grandmother collects crystal decorations and hangs them in her windows. I slept over at her house, and when I woke up in the morning, the dawn light showered the inside of her house with hundreds of tiny rainbows. I was walking around when one hit me in the eye, bright and blinding. My grandma saw it and told me I should take a picture. I took quite a few, and the result was glorious and beautiful.
These are all self portraits, and un manipulated photos.

When I was a boy I used to put a prism by the window and see the colors of the spectrum and sometimes I'd squint and let one particular intense color fall on an eye so I could enjoy the intense green or blue or whatever. Never occurred to me to take a picture (it was harder then what with film and we didn't have good cameras). Good idea and it makes for striking images. Also you're nicer to look at than I was.

I always have delighted in looking at the wondrous colors, but this time was the first time I thought to take a picture of them. Thank you for the compliment
