Angel Ascended-------
They had won!
Their trials past them,
Without any fail,
It was time to rest,
The end of a legendary tale,
Elated he was,
Now above the ground,
Phantasmal wings outstretched,
Eager to race alongside the clouds,
The spirits watched,
Beside his close friends,
Worried…,
So worried,
That his fragile innocence,
Would too soon,
Come to an end,
The maiden died,
Before his stiffened form,
Keeping him,
Wondering,
Just why,
He had thought,
The world had deserved
Anything—,
Anything more,
The maiden of peace,
Memory steeped in despair,
Her blood spilt plentifully,
That day,
Was she not the kindest of souls?
Yet Death had still taken her away,
From her love,
Her shared of blood,
And even the swordsman,
Who drowned in his deeds,
Long ago done,
As she fell,
They all could not do much but stare,
All but one,
Their swords fell down,
As the nightmare was realized,
The long distant future met,
He smote the killer,
In a gruesome scene,
Ignorant of the blood,
Or the sin of the deed,
He changed that moment,
His conscience gone,
Sure to change the world,
So that his dearest sister,
Would not remain gone,
He ascended that day,
His companions at his side,
Into the clouds they had loved so much,
Now their happiness,
Forthwith denied,
A soul had fallen,
An angel risen,
Keeping the worlds,
In his intricate prison,
Lies had been constructed,
Disbelievers were dealt with,
Severely,
Children scared even at home,
Fathers and Mothers dear gone,
They all hid fearfully,
A spirit watched,
A spirit wept,
Right beside,
The distraught brother,
She had left,
Wishing,
Dearly wishing,
That he had taken her loss,
In stride,
Maybe,
Then,
Would numerous others,
Not have to die.
The Goddess watched,
Centuries now by,
Weeping for joy,
As her brother lived on,
In the world he scarred,
As the sustenance of all,
The Great Kharlan Tree,
Now known to all—.
