Here's to my favourite emotionally-dead character XD SAI!!! He's so funny and he doesnt even know it
I also love the fact that things he draws come to life..isnt that just every artist's dreams? :3
That damn lion thing took forever *O* i still cant do it well...however, i'm quite happy with the pose on the whole :3 did it without pose reference. I'm trying to work on more dynamic poses.

Nee hee, LOVE!!! I am so jealous of this guy, WHY CAN'T MY ART COME TO LIFE! Anyways, one of my favourite characters too. The pose is very well done, you have a huge talent for feet. I applaud. Back ground is lovely too.

Was it not for the bug in the system I would've written an official dA critique, so this will be a long comment. XD
This piece is definitely another artistic leap for you. The composition is lovely and looks well balanced. I end up looking at it as whole. The simple strong background lines supports this further.
I really like the muted earthy colours, they work harmoniously and support your lineart and I like how you've left the lion bw, it leaping out of that scroll is fantastic. And that brushstroke still in midair is lovely touch too.
I'd suggest you using much stronger highlights and shadows though. It's not something that is obviously missing here, but I know you can do it and it can be a really good way to add further dimension to your work, and also bringing more colour to the skin tone, as skin too reflects light and colours surrounding it.
