Description Now you probably already know this, but I love the Jurassic Franchise.
And because I'm such a fanboy, I'm super hyped for the next instalment of this beloved franchise: Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom
So, to keep this hype-train rolling, I've decided to make files explaining the dinosaurs of Isla Nublar/Sorna, explaining how they behave, how much of their genetic code was altered by Ingen Scientists, and how they compare to their original counterparts.

One thing to note- I'll also be adjusting them slightly, like adding little bits of feathers here or there.
(mainly because I find it difficult to draw dinosaur without at least some form of proto-feathers)

For the ninth creature on our list, I'd thought we'd make a return to herbivores, specifically the more harmless hadrosaur types.
called: "DINOSAUR-ASSET" FILES-5
Herbivore File-"Long-Crested Honkers"

otherwise known as Parasaurolophus Ingensis Sornaensis

For this post, I decided to showcase a favourite of quite a few JP-franchise fans, a dinosaur herbivore that surprisingly has been in every movie so far (whether it be a small cameo or a full scene). It isn't an aggressive animal, but rather a docile, harmless herbivore that spends its days grazing the islands in large herds, that sometimes are mixed with corythosaurus.

One of my favourite scenes involving Parasaurolophus happen to be in the "Lost World: Jurassic Park" film where some InGen Hunters are trying to subdue it, in one of the most non-caring ways possible. This is because after the first "Isla Nublar incident" of 1993 caused the deaths of five people, Ingen was in incredibly big lawsuit of 149 million dollars, (not counting the cost of keeping Alan, Elie, and Ian quiet and the loss of 15 years of hard work) as retribution to the families of "Donald Genaro", "Dr Arnold" and "Robert Muldoon".

It all got so bad, that they were planning to sweep "Site B" for the Assets that for some reason survived their Lysine contingency, and were flourishing, But Hammond, having had a change of Heart wanted to preserve the island, and keep it out of human interference, and for four whole years, he managed to keep them out of the island.
It was only when a Young girl got attacked by a pack of "compys" were they able to "overthrow" Hammond and give control to his nephew, Peter Ludlow.

The other scene that works really well, is short but shows how fast they can stampede, In "Jurassic Park 3", the group is trying to escape from a pack of "raptors" (sorna-variant) and end getting separated, as they tried to avoid getting trampled.

But aside from all that, let's get to this creature itself...

All I can say is, they are beautiful Creatures!
I mean seriously, as well as their variant colours, which as you can see are clearly used for some sort of display, I couldn't find any major inaccuracies that could be called a "genetic-glitch", because apart from their additional frog-DNA, they seem to be one of the least "altered" dinosaurs that Ingen has created, aside from maybe the ceratopsian species...

There seem to be two "variants", but unlike the other dinosaurs, these "variants" differences only seem to be in colour (one being green and the other yellowish), and maybe a little in muscle mass. And if you were to compare how the two have done over the years, it seems that the yellowish one has managed to survive in the modern world more than the green variant.
It may have something to do with camouflage, but until Ingen scientists figure it out, it's still a mystery....

But if there is one thing this species is known for, it's is the loud honking call that it's hollow crest produces...a noise so loud, that at full blast it can be heard from over 5 miles away, or it would if the other inhabitants didn't block it out.

update June 2018-as An ingen animal's recorder, I'm sad to announce that most of the isla nublar population has been wiped out by Mount Sibo.
But there have been rumors that several indidvuals were saved. And recently, there's been reports of strange creatures roaming the Californian wilderness.

I love all your hadrosaurs, this one in perticular. But do you use traditional or digital methods to draw these dinosaurs?

Despite that I'm a T-Rex fanboy, I have to say: some Spino fans are sooooo annoying, along with other Rex fanboys: they just give me cancer!

Hopefully, more evidence will be found for the Spinosaurus

NOTES: I REMEMBER THE FIRST TIME I HELD A BABY DINOSAUR, AN INFANT PARASAUROLOPHUS IN 1999 DURING MY VISIT TO OVERSEE OUR RECENTLY PURCHASED INGEN. I REMEMBER THINKING THIS WAS THE RESULT OF PURE IMAGINATION REINFORCED BY THE UNDERSTANDING THAT NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE. PEOPLE OFTEN TALK ABOUT HOW MAN CANNOT FLY WITHOUT AN AIRCRAFT, HOWEVER IF YOU REMOVE GRAVITY MAN CAN FLY WITHOUT AID OF ANYTHING. IT'S ALL ABOUT PERSPECTIVE. I KNOW NOW, MORE THAN EVER, THAT OUR SPECIES HAS UNLIMITED CAPABILITIES. HOLDING THAT YOUNG ANIMAL WAS A WAKE UP CALL. IF WE DREAM OF IT, WE CAN ACHIEVE IT. NOW ONLY ONE QUESTION REMAINS: WHAT IS NEXT FOR INGEN? I BELIEVE HENRY WU HAS AN ANSWER.

---END LOG---

Yay, illegally bred Parasuarolophus!!!
