I agree about the background (that it looks too photoshoped), but love the concept and the the way that you look. Unfortunately though, I'm not sure calm is the mood, and I think that is due the overwhelming blackness. It gives it a different, rather eerie quality. Still quite a good photo though, nice work.

thank you very much for your comment, I've been thinking about re shooting it lately. I think my photography skills got much better since the time I took it so it might turn out much nicer, I'll let you know if I do it

This is really nice, great lighting and feel, but it looks way to photo shopped for me. the background doesnt look natural, and the skin just is so smooth..it seems impossible. i would love to see some texture and raw-ness!

Thank you, and I think you are right, I might try this again at some point but the background was really uneven and I had to do something with it so I just painted it black. I appreciate your honesty, it's nice to receive real critique.

No tiene nada demasiado especial realmente, es una lampara que esta sobre mis piernas y estaba en un cuarto oscuro, la unica luz es la que sale de ahi. Eso es todo realmente.... Me alegro que te haya gustado.

The serenity is lovely and palpable. I very much enjoy how the warmth of lighting against the skin brings out this peaceful glow that's not only reflected in the orb being craddled, but the intimate darkness of it all. It's a very private moment, it feels like. The model's poise and expression are excellent, and I like what was done with the hair.
I'm semi-obsessed with orb-like imagery, myself. I love it!
