Description In Final Crisis Superman teams with the Supermen of each of the 52 Universes in the DC Multiverse. One is a black man from Valthos Island on Planet Krypton who would become President of the United States. Grant Morrison, his creator, has said that this Superman is Barack Obama, but DC has yet to officially confirm or deny this.

Edit 8/14/2016: Actually DC has since renamed this character "Calvin Ellis" ( Cal El, Kal-El) but he otherwise remains the same. He appeared in the New 52 Action Comics and Multiversity with a cool new costume I need to get around to doing as a micro.

I thought it was pretty clever. DC and Marvel have a long history of putting active US Presidents in their books. Superman met Kennedy. Captain America met Bush and Clinton. Spidey met Obama.

Actually making one a superhero only makes sense because of how most Presidents are seen. I'm surprised it never happened before Obama. Of course in Robert Kirkman's Invincible the hero The Immortal used to be Abraham Lincoln.
