Description Deer in many native American cultures was a "first helper" as well as a family protector. Deer teaches sacrifice and speed.

This is a piece of American Poplar (10.5" long x 2" wide x 6" tall) that was notched on the long edges with a hand chisel and rounded on the short edges. The piece was sanded with coarse sandpaper and stained using acrylic paint mixed with water. The mediums used were permanent marker and acrylic paint.

This piece was donated to Doodles for Wildlife
