Say hello to the newest Amigurumi commission - Hestu from Breath of the Wild!

After making Prince Sidon last month (wow, time flies), I was super excited when I was asked to make Hestu! Hestu is just my 3rd Zelda character that I've crocheted (Wolf Link being the first), but I really do hope he's not the last, as at the very least I want to make Deku Link one day (among so many others... looking at you, Ganon).

Hestu measures 11in tall and features most of his unique detailing from his Korok leaf-mask and changing color-scheme, to his opening satchel and functioning maracas!! Yes, they actually make sound, and you can even hear them in a video here: www.facebook.com/TheTallGrassS…

When it came time to finally start him, I was a little nervous about his vast amount of color changing, but it honestly was not as bad as I thought it would be. I did write down his pattern - so I can make him again - but I didn't write down every single color swap, so each Hestu might turn out a bit unique in that regard, but stay accurate in size/style and design

Since I'm filling two Prince Sidon orders at the moment, I'm hoping I can have them done in time to take a photo with Hestu before I make my weekly postoffice trip *finger crossed*
