...This is quite possibly the best piece of fanart I've ever done.
A couple of people commented on my other pic, Skritchies, that they'd like to see something with dog-form Sesshoumaru and Rin. At first I was going to do something kinda like the last one, rolling around having fun, but this happened instead, and I am so glad it did. This pic conveys for me all of his feelings for Rin. I see their relationship as father/daughter, not romantic, so for me I see this as a paternal love. However, you may interpret this as you wish.
(I won't rain on your parade, Sess/Rin fans 
). The message in this is simply that he loves her and cares for her; the rest is up to you. It is like this pic wanted me to draw it. I decided this time that I wanted to try drawing a more realistic version of his true form, so I got out a couple of anatomy references, and before I knew it, I'd whipped out the sketch all in one day, and it was perfect in one go, and that just doesn't happen with me. Ever. And then the coloring all came together in about one day, and that NEVER happens with me. I found myself trying a new coloring style, and I found myself actually paying attention to things like lighting, and mood. It was intentionally left 'sketchy' looking because I liked the effect. I'm still not 100% happy with all of the details--I may give his eyes/markings another go, as I feel they don't match the tone of the pic perfectly--but overall I'm really damn happy. It's not perfect, but for me this is really darn good. I was totally channeling my muse the whole time and it was great fun. Anyway, hope you enjoy viewing it as much as I enjoyed making it.

This picture is wonderful you did a great job. Sesshomaru and Rin have a father/daughter relationship not a romantic they even have paternal love/bond.

a lot of drawing are drawn just for fun, depriving it a soul. but this drawing is different. it has both body and soul. the body is the majesty of the drawing it self. and the soul is the emotions of the drawing. i can't actually grasp what you wanted me to see because all i can see is beauty. keep it up, you will go far.

Aww that is so sweet. That is how I have always viewed Sesshomaru when it come's to Rin. Someone he chooses to protect and care for even if she is human and a child. As if it's an obligation, but not one he minds.
