Description
A few years ago, I sculpted a weird, slightly creepy fox mask (I really enjoy exploring the idea of masked animals) with deeply set eyeholes. I lost it in a move, and recently found it and decided to cast it. I have no idea anymore what I'd intended the finished product to be like so I just winged it. This was the first attempt, trying out different design elements. I was so, so happy he sold at AAC to someone who really loved him--he's so weird, I didn't know if anyone would ever like it. ^_^;; I'm doing them totally differently now, so this one is unique!

The mask is cast in alumilite resin and hand-painted in acrylics, then sealed with a matte varnish. His body is needle-felted wool, no armature; he stands on his own.
