Description

Kalla, Daughter of MoraH, aka Clayton Moorehouse, aka Claymore

Orc (Khangan)/Half-Troll female Lvl 3/0/0 Rogue Warrior-Pirate/Mage-Water Elemental Master/Weaponsmaster (Militant)

Some might think of no worse world to be born into than the Khangan Empire.  They would be vastly mistaken.  Being born to a world of warriors and honor is one thing, to be born a bastard girl of a lesser family in such a world is worse.  To be born a half-breed is all but a death sentence.  Fortunately no one really knew exactly what Kala was until much later in her life.  All they knew was that she was a runt Orc female, always smaller than the other Orc children, with a terrible temper that constantly got her in trouble.  But she was smart, smarter than most, so she ended up being sent off to school and forgotten by her dishonored family.

But Kala’s story is a long and painful one, a story that hasn’t really started yet.  Born less than thirty years after the forming of the Khangan Empire, she grew up behind a literal wall of xenophobia and hatred of anything different.  Her grandfather on her mother’s side had been a minor warrior of no import during the Second Orc Wars.  Her mother grew up scrounging for food and honor in a distant village in the swamps.  She hoped that her coupling with a powerful Khangan warlord would raise the family’s position.  It did not.  The bastard child she bore was small, weak and strange.  Her dishonor was redoubled, yet she couldn’t bear to kill the child as Orcish custom dictated.  She went into hiding and eventually decided to give up her daughter to reclaim her own life.

Handed from one mistreatment into another, Kala grew hateful at a young age.  She fled from one bad situation to another.  When she finally reached puberty, her true nature came to the surface.  Her skin and hair color began to change.  Within months, she had bright green skin and white hair.  She ran away yet again, but this time, she was captured by a salty crew along the Viridian/Maeceyean border.  The Captain, knowing that he had a Half-Troll in his grasp, took a liking to her and set her on a course to become his Cabin Boy.  Years passed as Kala adopted a new name, Clayton Moorehouse.  Eventually, even she forgot her birth name and the place she was born.  After passing from one pirate crew to another, all who had known her before had passed on.  Kalla, daughter of MoraH, was no more.

After sailing around the world a few times and actually managing to survive not only the dangers of the deep, but defying the laws of the seas and the patrols of the Shipping Guild, Clay broke from her outlaw past and sought a more formal education than what she could get onboard a pirate corsair.  She found the newly opened FreeRangers‘ College in Taipai and managed to scrape together enough money for tuition.  Her education there was more martial than academic.  She didn’t exactly graduate at the top of her class either.  But she did learn enough about magic and fighting to put her on the path to becoming a Weaponsmaster.   And given the cosmopolitan nature of the capitol of the Shipping Guild on Arrallon, she didn’t stick out any more than any other student.

Clay adopted her name as much to mirror her favored weapon as anything else.  As an Orc and a Half-Troll, she is larger than most, massively muscled, ripped and strong as an ox.  Her training in magic has just begun, but her natural proclivity towards the water has marked her as an Elemental Master already.  As a Rogue Warrior, her emphasis has been more in survival skills and plying the tradewinds than thiefly endeavors.  Also, her specialization is not just in the greatsword, but in her martial arts style, the one thing left over from her homeland, Morcha Quai.

She looks great! I can imagine in battle, she's going to be pretty nasty and self-sufficient. Well, as levels go on and you really start to get those feat and skill points
