I used to watch Cardcaptors in all of its horribly edited, horribly dubbed awful glory back when it was on YTV here in Canada in the late 90's. Amazingly enough, so did my boyfriend TimmCosplay . There's an eight year difference between the two of us so it's pretty amazing when our pop culture nostalgia crosses paths. We like the same sorts of shows and games, but we rarely have experience with the exact same ones, so most of the time we're teaching each other about things that the other one missed out on. It's a pretty sweet deal, really. And then occasionally there are similarities - I grew up playing Half-Life with my brother and Tim got hardcore into Half-Life 2 a few years later, I remember Metroid on the original Gameboy, he remembers literally everything Metroid after that, etc. We both watched Cardcaptors, and neither of us had watched it unedited and subtitled. So, with the release of Clear Card, we finally watched it again for the first time. And holy god did I ever forget how insanely cute that show is and how many emotions it gives me.

We still need to watch the movies and the new series so there... might be some more sketches from this show coming up. I apologize in advance, but damn is it ever good to do fanart again. I haven't in ages.

I used that art set that I got for Christmas from Tim's parents. Those are actually some really nice pencil crayons. Smooth.
