Description Duck + jump currently set higher than normal for testing purposes.

update: Messing with the visibility... seeing how it works with a larger playsize.
- added in switch flipping animation. needs some tweaking.
- added in a bum and falling sludge tests... bums increase max health by 1/4 a brain, also tried tweaking the health display some.
- Updated goo falling some more.
- Updated goo yet again, previous version was using too many resources.
-Made an in game collision detection editor and updated more of the collision detection.
- Updated collision a little more, as a result gate collision is temporarily disabled (for testing). Added in a pause menu with a sub menu for configuring controls. (press "Z" to pause- temp key binding)
- updated key config menu to display the key selected- music temp removed for faster testing.
-updated a couple of bug fixes, changed water slowage to just reduce speed to 10 if your going faster instead of making you run horribly slow.
-boss is about 80% complete? Still a few bugs with his platform- will be fixed soon.

- Lots of changes, beginings of park and street levels added- animation tweaks have been done, cop has been added who shoots bullets, respawning enemies on medium and hard difficulty settings and more! lol.

Ah, well. this is a reallly old WIP- it's advanced a whole lot since this one.. although we are not uploading it anymore until it is finished due to sponsorship.

Oh, and, I just noticed something on the street level. When the policeman hits you, he turns into one of those orange-suit guys from the sewer. I'm not sure if it's a bug or if it's supposed to happen, or if you know about it, so I just figured I'd say something anyway.

I really love the game! I left a comment on Murks deviation but I thought I'd leave one here too. The only thing I would have liked to be different would be the attack controls..."Q" was a bit hard to reach and it would have been easier for me to hit say..."D" since the other ones "A, S" were positioned so neatly.

Other than that I really really like the game and can't wait for the final version!

you need to have a collision detection to see if your chars feet are touching the floor... if he's not then make him fall :>

its going to be different for everyones engine they make.... I've tried a few different ways.

How do you program the jumps? Are there any tutorials on the net on ow to do collision detection, jumping, movement etc. on the net?

I learned all my basics from [link] and evolved from tile based to what im using now... kind of hard to explain it all... basically just alot of math calculations to see if this value + momentum value willl be greater than the collision value in an array etc.... the easy way is to use a hittest method.. you can just google that its not as precise and more resource intensive usually from my experience.

Right.... All I need now is flash 8, which should be arriving soon. Im dreading having to code it all. BUt it should turn out nicely if it wors. Any wisdom to impart on how to do scrolling backgrounds like in zombie nerd?

Yes, flash 8 will work. my advice is to plan out everything you want to do before you start coding- if you start from scratch without all your ideas put together 90% of the time you will have to restart from scratch to implament new ideas that would have been easy to add in the begining :>

Oh i got plans..... Good planes.... i mean plans.
I just gota ask around newgrounds for scraps of coding like hoe to make someone constantly point their gun towars the cursor (like in thing-thing on Newgrounds and The Last Stand) and how to do bullets.

It is the spawn of something awesome. The secrets were great ^^ I HATE the fish with bile though >.< They're made of evil and ownz!! The men in radiation jackets are easy to defeat- out of reach with arm. *shrug* Didn't get much opportunity to use the breath, but I guess that was an alternative to the arm. I like how the arm is a two hit but you can use it when it's not there. That owned against the fish ^^ Slaughted the man suits ^^
