Description
KITCHEN TRIOS. These were made from one-gallon bottles, but, with a tiny bit of adaptation, a two-quart bottle will work, also. Make them for yourselves, make them for friends. Give them to neighbors, church friends, book club pals, teachers.
At the bottom of the page is the mini-dustpan. When crumbs on the counter or stove-top vex you, sweep them into this and dump them, then rinse it off if needed. I use mine to park the shells of eggs and pieces of butter wrapper when I'm baking.
At the upper left is the measuring leveler. It's for scraping the top of a spoonful of spices or a cupful of flour. (Wipe it on a piece of T-shirt recycled into a kitchen cloth between uses.) It can also catch drips if you're filling bags with a ladle, or you're making cupcakes and you don't have a cupcake making device. (If you don't happen to cook, the measuring leveler can simply become a dust chaser for use with the mini-dustpan.)
On the upper right is the scraper. Use it to herd chopped parsley or lettuce off the cutting board. Chase batter out of the bowl and into the cake pan. Clean off your fingers if you've been kneading a very sticky dough. After cooking, use it to clean off gooey pans covered in crusty dark stuff. Sprinkle shredded cheddar on crackers and bake or microwave it, then use this gem to dislodge any cheese fragments.
