The captive addresses the viewer with anti-Pre-Raphaelite hostility. He doesn't trust you or anybody. Is he a criminal or innocent; does he deserve this treatment? What is his name, where is he from, how did he get here? Even I don't know.

All I can do is to warn you: he's just as ruthless as his captors.

This wasn't a sketch of anybody in particular, it was just an image I wanted to set to paper. I apologize for the 'SAMPLE' stamped all over our boy here. I don't usually do that, but he's already been sold.
